BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University softball announced the signing of Lynsay Flynt on Friday, head coach Amy Herrington announced.

“Adding Lynsay is a great addition for us,” Herrington said. “She is a versatile player that will be able to play all over the diamond.”

A two-time all-region performer, she was named team MVP in 2009. She was named Northview’s top offensive player in 2008 and its best defensive player in 2006 and 2007.  She played for coach Andrea Payne at Northview.
