SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Appalachian State University women's soccer travels to Wofford on Thursday to take on the Terriers for a 6 p.m. match.
The Mountaineers are coming off a hard fought 2-1 loss to College of Charleston on Sunday.
About the Mountaineers
Appalachian comes into the match with a 5-8-3 overall record and is 2-4-2 in the Southern Conference. The Apps are 0-4-2 in their last six games and have scored a combined three goals in those games.
Despite the scoring struggles, the Mountaineers jumped on top of conference leader College of Charleston on Sunday when Sydney Hill scored off assists by Katy Dodd and Lindsay Jaffe. The goal was Hill's third of the season, tying her for the team lead with Dodd. Hill also leads the team in points with eight.
Caroline Clarke has started 14 games in goal and has made a conference best 74 saves and is tied for third in shutouts with six.
About the Terriers
Wofford has lost two-in-a-row and is 3-12-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the SoCon.
The Terriers have had offensive woes this year, being shutout nine times this season. Nikki Seibert leads the team in goals (4) and in points (10).
Erika Christensen has played in 13 games in goal, making 43 saves and holds a 1.65 goals against average.

Both teams have lost to UNC Greensboro and College of Charleston, while ASU beat UNC Asheville, Davidson and Georgia Southern and Wofford lost to those teams. Wofford defeated The Citadel and Chattanooga and the Apps tied The Citadel and lost to the Mocs in overtime and Appalacihan lost to Samford while Wofford tied the Bulldogs 0-0.
