SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Appalachian State University men’s soccer’s
Sean Dreybus was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
A native of Newport News, Va., Dreybus scored three goals in ASU’s two games last week to help the Mountaineers’ defeat UNC Greensboro and Gardner-Webb.
The sophomore scored Appalachian’s first goal against UNCG, tying the score at one in a game ASU eventually won in overtime. Against the Bulldogs, Dreybus scored two goals, including the game-winner.
An accounting major, Dreybus holds a 3.8 GPA.
Dreybus and the Mountaineers are back in action on Saturday, as they travel to Georgia Southern for the season finale.
