BOONE, N.C. — The Southern Conference announced on Friday that the 2010 football game between Appalachian State University and Samford, originally scheduled for Oct. 2, will now be played on Sept. 25 at Seibert Stadium in Birmingham, Ala.

The impact on Appalachian’s 2010 slate is minimal. ASU was originally scheduled for a bye on Sept. 25. The Mountaineers’ bye will now occur on Oct. 2, one week prior to their homecoming matchup versus Elon.
