BOONE, N.C. - In the midst of four-straight road Southern Conference matchups, Appalachian State University men's basketball takes a reprieve from league competition on Monday to host King College at 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers split a pair of games with division rivals over the weekend, defeating Samford before falling by five points at defending SoCon champion Chattanooga on Saturday evening. Appalachian (12-9, 6-4) stands in second place in the North division.

• Stephen Kite leads the team with 13.8 points per game, but four other players also score in double figures for the team.
• KC averages 80.6 points per game on 47 percent shooting, while opponents are limited to 67 points per game.
• The team also owns a +5.1 turnover margin per game with 11.3 steals per contest.
The Series vs. King
• Appalachian is 14-0 all-time against King College, with the last meeting coming in 1998-99.
• The outcome of that contest was 80-40, marking the largest ASU victory in the series.
• The Mountaineers are 8-0 at home in the series, which includes the last three games.
• Prior to the meeting 12 seasons ago, the programs had not met since 1955-56.
