CULLOWHEE, N.C. -Due to the threat of impending wintry weather - and for the travel safety of teams, game officials and fans alike - Western Carolina and Appalachian State made the decision to move the tip-off of Saturday's men's basketball game against the Catamounts to 3 p.m. in the Ramsey Center.
Saturday's game was originally slated for a 7 pm start. However, Thursday night's wintry weather and the threat of more ice, snow and freezing temperatures on Friday and Saturday evenings prompted the change. Doors and all ticket windows will open at 1:30 pm.
The Mountaineers pulled away for an 87-74 win against the Catamounts on January 23 in Boone and look for the fifth season sweep in six seasons. Donald Sims scored a game-high 28 points in the win as the Apps have won 11 of the last 12 meetings with WCU.
