WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's tennis completed the final day of the Wake Forest Fall Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by Jennifer Ansari's and Mackenzie LaSure's two victories in singles action.

Ansari nabbed two victories is Flight E after falling in her opening match on Friday. The senior defeated Gabby Winter of Navy and Anna Abadias of Richmond in straight sets.

LaSure's two wins came in Flight F, as she knocked off Taylor Fay of Radford and Tamara Hill of Davidson.

The Mountaineers return to the High Country on Friday, Oct. 26 when they host the ASU Fall Invitational. App State will be joined with East Carolina, Coastal Carolina and Presbyterian College.

D - Jessica Thaggard lost to Caitlin Cridland (Winthrop) 3-0, retired

D - Jennifer Ansari def. Gabby Winter (Navy) 6-0, 6-2; def. Anna Abadias (Richmond) 7-5, 7-6(4)

E - Gaby Celi lost to Alice Garcia (Winthrop) 3-6, 6-2, 6-4; lost to Ewa Telenga (Campbell) 6-3, 6-1

F - Sarah King def. Cassie Fisbeck (Navy) 6-4, 6-2
