CHARLESTON, S.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis opened the first day of the College of Charleston Invite with matches against Charlotte, as the Mountaineers could only manage one doubles victory against the 49ers on Friday afternoon at Patriots Point.
Sophomore Robert Jenkins and senior Andrew McKinnon nabbed the lone Mountaineer victory, tallying a 9-8 doubles victory over Charlotte's tandem of Paul Cisti and Krzysztof Kwasniewicz.
The Apps return to the CofC Invitational this weekend, setting up matches with Southern Conference opponents, Charleston on Saturday, Nov. 3 and Wofford on Sunday, Nov. 4.
