BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State men’s tennis returns to the High Country this week to host SoCon foe Davidson on Wed., March 20 at noon at Grandfather Mountain.

The Mountaineers (3-8, 1-1 SoCon), who are coming off a 4-3 loss to conference opponent College of Charleston on March 16, return to Boone after completing their last seven matches on the road, dating back to Feb. 9. Appalachian picked up it's last win in a 5-2 decision at The Citadel just last week on March 15.

Andrew McKinnon leads the Mountaineers in singles action having won his last five matches, while Zach Bost follows closely behind, posting four straight singles wins, while leading Appalachian in back-to-back doubles' victories against SoCon foes The Citadel and College of Charleston with partner Sebastien King.

The Wildcats (8-5, 2-2 SoCon) saw their overall mark fall to 8-5, while their SoCon record is an even 2-2 after dropping their most recent matches to Elon (6-1) and College of Charleston (4-3). Davidson has struggled against Elon, specifically, in recent years having dropped the last 10 meetings dating back to 2005. Three of the Wildcats past four meetings against the Phoenix have been 4-3 decisions.

Looking ahead, the Mountaineers will continue their conference schedule at home when they host Georgia Southern on Fri., March 22, taking a short break before welcoming UNCG on March 29.
