HILTON HEAD, S.C. - After Monday's round, Appalachian State University women's golf stands in ninth place at the Southern Conference Championship at Moss Creek Country Club.
The Mountaineers shot a 341 (+53) on Monday to bring the team's two-day total to 665 (+89). The third and final round begins Tuesday morning.
Mary Kate Bowman had the best round of the day for Appalachian at 81 (+9) to tie for 18th place with a 160 (+16).
Kerri Dice birdied the par-three seventh hole and shot an 85 (+13) for the day to finish at 26th place at 165 (+21).
Jordan Kreuter carded an 85 (+18) on Tuesday to move into a tie for 37th place at 169 (+25) while
Brooke DeHart was just one stroke back tied for 42nd place at 171 (+27).
Emily McGonagle shot a 96 (+24) and stands in 49th place at 188 (+44) after 36 holes.
Furman leads the tournament at 303-309-612 (+36), a whopping 20 strokes ahead of Chattanooga. Paladin
Stefanie Kenoyer leads the individuals at 149 (+5) whlie Lady Moc Maria Salinas is two strokes back.
The Apps close out the tournament on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. with The Citadel.
