BOONE, N.C. — As Appalachian State University enters the final stages of the NCAA's standard athletics department re-certification process, it invites the general public to view the University's self-study report to the NCAA and offer comments.
The NCAA requires all members to be re-certified once every 10 years. A major component of the re-recertification process is a self-study conducted by the University with regards to all aspects of the athletics department and its role on campus.
