CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Appalachian State University wrestling looks to continue their winning streak this weekend as they travel to Chattanooga to take on the Mocs and Northern Iowa.  ASU wrestles UTC at 1 p.m. and will wrestle the Panthers at 2:30 p.m.

The Mountaineers are on a roll, having won their last five matches after a 21-16 win over The Citadel last Sunday.  Kyle Blevins leads the Apps with 18 wins while Savva Kostis has 17 wins on the year.  Blevins and Austin Trotman each have eight match winning streaks while Jacob Earp is on a six match winning streak.

The Mountaineers have not beaten Chattanooga since a 32-6 win in 2003, the last time ASU won a Southern Conference Championship.

Chattanooga is 8-6 overall and 3-0 in the SoCon.  The Mocs have won 28 straight conference matches.  Freshman Dean Pavlou leads the team with 18 wins while Brandon Wright is ranked No. 19 in the latest d1collegewrestling.net poll.

Northern Iowa is 6-10 overall and 3-3 in the Western Wrestling Conference.  Heavyweight Christian Brantley is ranked No. 25 in the country.

Appalachian returns home on Tuesday, Feb. 9 as they host Davidson at 6 p.m. in Varsity Gym.
