As a Junior (2008-09) • Sank 39.1 percent of three-point attempts on the year, good for third on the team. • Sank the game-winning trey at UNC Greensboro and finished the game with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting. • Matched his career high with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting with a pair of treys during the team’s 18-3 run against Charleston (Feb. 16). • Scored nine points on three treys at Western Carolina. • Scored a career-high 11 points at Elon on 3-of-5 three-pointers. • Posted five points and three rebounds at home against Elon. • Poured in five points to go with three rebounds in just 10 minutes on the court against Milligan. • Hit a second-half three-pointer to key ASU’s come-from-behind win at Furman. • Averaged 9.7 points over a three-game span (Feb. 14-19), knocking in nine treys over the span. • Sank all four free-throw attempts on the season. • Made 46.9 percent of three-point attempts in 13 SoCon games (15-of-32). • Named to SoCon honor roll.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2007-08) • Appeared in 17 games and scored in seven. • Averaged 1.7 points on 46 percent shooting. • Scored a career-high eight points in seven minutes in the loss at GSU. • Has six three-pointers spread out over six separate games. • Played a career-high 14 minutes in the win over UVA-Wise. • Had two boards in the win at Campbell. • Finished with five points in 11 minutes with 2-of-5 shooting in the loss at UNCG.
As a Sophomore (2006-07) • Suffered an ankle injury in preseason practice and redshirted the 2006-07 campaign.
As a Freshman (2005-06) • Saw action in eight contests. • Averaged four minutes per appearance. • Scored 15 points for a 1.9 points per game average. • Scored a career-high seven points against Montreat (Jan. 14). • Also had two assists and five rebounds versus Montreat. • Was a recipient of the SoCon Commissioner’s medal and a member of the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
Reynolds H.S. Averaged 15.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. • Shot 46 percent from deep and 82 percent at the free-throw line. • Team was state runner-up in 2004 with a four-year record of 80-18. • MVP of the MLK Scholastic Classic. • All-Central Piedmont Conference selection and CPC all-tournament team. • Member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
Personal • Born October 16, 1986. • Full name is Andrew John Highsmith. • Son of Johnny and Dawn Highsmith. • Graduated with a degree in communications with a minor in business in May 2009. • Enrolled in ASU’s graduate business administration program. • Spent 17 days in Israel and Palestine during the summer of 2008 with Athletes in Action.
