BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University women's basketball has announced that its annual "Pink Zone" game along with its Alumni Day will be held Saturday February 20, in conjunction with its contest against UNCG at 4:30 p.m. in the Holmes Center.
WBCA PINK ZONE
• The Mountaineers will team up with over 1,200 schools across the country to raise money in support of breast cancer research and awareness.
• All fans are encouraged to wear pink and "pink out" the game.
• The women's basketball program is selling t-shirts for $10 to help promote the event and anyone who pre-orders a shirt and wears it to the game receives free admission.

• To place an order click here (please include your name and size of shirt). All shirts can be picked up at the game with checks made payable to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
• T-shirts along with other "Pink Zone" items can also be purchased at the ASU Bookstore.
• Head coach Darcie Vincent and the women's basketball staff will donate $1 to the cause for every student that attends the game.
• All breast cancer survivors in attendance will get special courtside seating.
• The ASU women's basketball team will be wearing commemorative pink warm-up shirts with each player's name on the back of them. Each shirt is available for purchase through a silent auction that will be held on the concourse, with the highest bidder getting the t-shirt and all proceeds going to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.

• There will also be a raffle, where participants can pay $1 and get one ticket or $7 and get 10 tickets with a chance to win gift certificates to local restaurants, official ASU women's basketball gear and merchandise from the bookstore. All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
• ASU will be teaming up with the American Cancer Society as well, and ACS will host a slew of events on the concourse before and during the game.
• ACS activities include: T-shirt sales, face painting, prettiest in pink contest, a silent auction and the ever-popular Mountaineer jail bail.
• Three ticket packages for purchase will also be available with the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
• Ticket Promotions:
- Bronze Package: 8 tickets, good for both games on February 20 along with an autographed picture of Coach Vincent and Coach Peterson. Price is $50.
- Silver Package: 15 tickets, good for both games on February 20, along with an autographed picture of Coach Vincent and Coach Peterson. Price is $100.
- Gold Package: 20 tickets, good for both games on February 20, along with an autographed picture of Coach Vincent and Coach Peterson in addition to a halftime announcement for being a "Golden Supporter."

ALUMNI DAY
• Head coach Darcie Vincent along with the entire women's basketball program would like to encourage all of its alumni to come back to the High Country for the Mountaineers' annual Alumni Day set to take place February 20 as well.
• A social gathering will be held at Pepper's restaurant from 12-4 p.m. before the game and a reception will take place after the game with the team and coaching staff in the Holmes Center.
• In an effort to get as many alumni back as possible and recognize those that do make the trek back to Boone, please click here if you plan on coming to alumni day. Along with including your full name, please include the year you graduated as well.
• All alumni will receive special seating behind the Appalachian bench during the game will be recognized during halftime of the game.
