BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's soccer head coach Shaun Pendleton was named the North Carolina '93 Boys Olympic Development Program (ODP) head coach.

It is the second-straight season Pendleton will coach a North Carolina ODP team, as he led last year's '92 Boys' team to the final four and an overall third place finish.

"It is a great honor to be chosen as the team's coach again," Pendleton said. "Last year was a great experience making it to the final four and it is a great privelage to have the opportunity to do it again."

Pendleton led the Mountaineers to an 8-8-1 record this season and was his 21st straight winning season as a head coach.
