Boone, N.C. -- Appalachian State's track and field standout Sean Soderman will be on display with some of the world's top junior athletes at the 2009 Pan-Am Junior Championships this weekend in Trinidad and Tobago.

Soderman, who qualified for the Pan-Am games with a victory in the 3000m steeplechase at last month's U.S. Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Eugene, Ore., will join Joe Whelan of Hamburg, N.Y. as Team USA's representatives in the steeplechase.
